Microsoft Copilot is the consumer AI assistant built into Windows 11, Edge, Bing and the Copilot mobile apps, powered by OpenAI models with Microsoft’s own additions. The free tier covers chat, voice, image generation and web-connected answers with reasonable daily limits.

Copilot Pro at $20 per month unlocks priority access to the newest models, Copilot in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and OneNote, plus 500 AI credits for image creation. It is a different product from Microsoft 365 Copilot, the $30-per-user business plan that adds enterprise data protection and Copilot across the full M365 tenant.
