Meta AI is Meta’s free assistant, reachable from the search bars of WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Messenger, from its own meta.ai app and site, and from Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley smart glasses. Since April 2026 it runs on the Muse Spark model family, which replaced Llama across the assistant.
It answers questions with search, generates and edits images, holds voice conversations, dubs Reels into other languages and now helps you shop or find local places directly in the apps billions of people already use. There is no subscription – the trade-off is that your public posts and chats with the assistant help train Meta’s models.
